Evesham Fire Department operates six Seagrave engines. Two engines are located in each of the three stations throughout the township. All of the engines are the Seagrave six man "j-cab" model. The equipment and compartments are standardized, so every engine is set up the same way. The EFD engine carries 750 gallons of water and is equipped with a single-stage 1500 gallon per minute pump. Each engine is equipped with 1200 feet of 5 inch supply line, 700 feet of 3 inch hose, two 1.75 inch pre-connected hand lines, one 2.5 inch pre-connected hand line and a top mounted deck gun, as well as a full complement of engine company tools and equipment. Our engines are also fully equipped to handle calls for Emergency Medical Services, which includes the carrying of a semi-automatic external defibrillator to aid victims of cardiac arrest. |

AMBULANCE
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT UNITS

Evesham Fire Department operates five Type III Horton ambulances mounted on Ford E450 Chassis. Three units are located at Station 221, one unit is located at Station 223, and one unit is located at Station 225.
All units are licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Health as Basic Life Support units. With this licensing come stringent requirements for training of personnel, and the additional requirement to carry certain specialized equipment to care for patients. All of our BLS personnel are New Jersey State Certified EMTs, or Emergency Medical Technicians. EMTs received a minimum of 140 hours of supervised specialized training as presented by the New Jersey State Department of Health.
All of our BLS units and engines carry semi-automatic external defibrillators, or AEDs. An AED may be used by specially trained personnel as a tool to help shock a cardiac arrest patient's heart back into a proper rhythm.
