Dad, junior, and infant Annie team up with the professional CPR and First-Aid instructors from Evesham Fire-Rescue to provide you with the skills necessary to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and to relieve foreign body airway obstructions (choking).
Our instructors can teach any of the offered courses at our facility at the Main Street Fire Station, 26 E. Main Street, or at a location of your choice.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
The following courses are taught using the latest American Heart Association protocols.
Family & Friends: This course is designed for people who want to learn CPR skills primarily to ensure the safety and well-being of their own family and friends. The course covers Pediatric and Adult CPR. It also teaches how to treat a choking victim. This course takes approximately three hours to complete. There is no certification card provided for this course. This course is offered four times throughout the year at our Main Street station at 26 East Main Street, or by special request. The class can also be taught at your location on a date of your choice (there is a 6 person minimum for off-site training).
Heartsaver/ Heartsaver AED: These courses are designed for people who need to learn CPR skills because their job or position requires them to be “CPR Certified”. For example, scout leaders, athletic trainers, lifeguards, day care centers, boat captains, etc. are required to be certified as a pre-requisite for their position. The Heartsaver Program has separate modules for Pediatric and Adult and are taught as separate courses. The modules also teach how to treat a choking victim. Each module takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete. If requested, other modules will also cover use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)Students will be required to pass a practical skill assessment test in order to be “Certified”. A certification card, valid for 2 years, is issued after the successful completion of the course.

Heartsaver First-Aid:
This three and a half hour course teaches how to manage illness & injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include:
1) General principles of first aid.
2) Medical emergencies such as heart attack, fainting, diabetes, allergic reactions, stroke & seizures.
3) Injury emergencies such as bleeding, shock, burns & head, spine or bone injury. This course is beneficial for professions such as teachers, daycare workers & lifeguards. A certification card, valid for 2 years, is issued after the successful completion of the course.
This course is available in pediatric (children less than 8 years old) and adult versions. An optional two hour CPR module can be added to the core first-aid course.

The Heartsaver courses are offered by special request only. Requests consisting of 4 or more students can have a class scheduled at a time that is mutually convenient for the group and our instructors. This course can be taught at our Main Street Station or at your location. Requests that are less than 4 students will be put on a waiting list.
Healthcare Provider - Initial: This course is designed for people in the healthcare profession who are required to be “CPR Certified” as a pre-requisite for employment – e.g., doctors, nurses, EMTs. The Healthcare Provider course consists of Pediatric and Adult CPR, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, one and two rescuer CPR, use of barrier devices, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The course takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete. Students will be required to pass written and practical skill assessment tests in order to be “Certified”. A certification card, valid for 2 years, is issued after the successful completion of the course.

Healthcare Provider - Renewal: This course is designed for those holding current Healthcare Provide certifications. The course takes approximately 3 hours to complete. Students will be required to pass written and practical skill assessment tests in order to be “Re-Certified”. A certification card, valid for 2 years, is issued after the successful completion of the course.
The Healthcare Provider and Healthcare Provider Renewal programs are offered by special request only.
